Do you need translation services?

The Alliance française de Détroit / French Institute of Michigan provides French-English and English-French translation services.

Our certified translators are experienced in a wide range of fields:

How much does it cost and how do I proceed?

Legal and Administrative documents (Birth/ marriage Certificates, Diplomas, Driver’s Licenses, Police Records…) will be charged $45 per page. (note: an American birth certificate translation from English to French is charged $50 par page)

To obtain a quote for other documents, please submit them by e-mail to afd@afdetroit.org  or deposit them personally at our reception.

Translations orders will be confirmed after the payment is received. We can take payments over the phone (Visa or MasterCard) and we also send you a link to pay online. 

The time required to translate a given document will depend on the amount and nature of the documents. Generally, the job is completed in less than a week.

The translations need to be picked-up at our office during our opening hours (Mondays/Wednesdays/Thursdays 10am-6pm). Mailing may be possible in the USA with an additional cost.

We can also have the documents notarized for an extra fee.
